Hello Everyone! I decided to kick-start my blog by illustrating this week's topic for Illustration Friday. The theme was "Surrender". Funny, I just started this blog and I'm surrendering already?
I have appropriated the concept of the infamous James Bond intro with the gun barrel and put my own twist on it. The white flag is the symbol of surrender.
Really nice effect and style - i like the minimal colour choices, :)
ReplyDeleteThis is great! It's powerful and fun at the same time. There must be a lady on the other end of the gun; that's the only reason why 007 would surrender...
ReplyDeleteThank you anjou for your lovely comment I am really glad you liked my entry. I think we had a very good topic this week don't you? It really got me brainstorming straight away!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah for your comment. He he! Maybe there is a lady there, who knows? Or maybe 007 got sentimental over the years, and now he's feeling sorry for anyone that he points his gun at! ;)
ReplyDeleteSurrender...put up the white flag...hehe I get it!
ReplyDeleteHeaps luv it!
P\S: I luv the argyle background!
ReplyDeleteI just adore your cat logo! =P
ReplyDeletei like the use of the gun barrel concept from 007 =).
ReplyDeleteThanks. As you might of guessed, I'm a bit of a fan of James Bond. He he, have a bit of a crush on the man! ;) So smooth... (mind drifts)
ReplyDeleteAhem..Well, I actually have an interest for most 50s and 60s ephemera. Just something incredibly appealing about that time. Very classy, elegant and modern - even today. Not to mention, very atmospheric.
