IF: Layers

This week's topic was "Layers". I've whipped this one up very quickly, as I already had an image of it in my mind. An onion is a fairly obvious thing that comes to mind in relation to the topic, but I figured it may be an interesting subject to depict. It has so many textures and the translucent golden skins seem to form new hues as they overlap one another. Fascinating! (Although onions make me cry!)

IF: Sweater

"Sweater" was the topic for last week, but this image took longer than expected. I need to work faster. All in all, I am quite satisfied with the result. I really like the 50s/60s storybook aesthetic that was typical for the Little Golden Books of the day.

IF: Reverse

Ok. I've finally finished it. I decided to go with the cooking theme since its always a fun environment. And this image is all about reversing the sides of a pancake on a frying pan!
I also tried to go for a different style to the image I submitted last week.

IF: Surrender

Hello Everyone! I decided to kick-start my blog by illustrating this week's topic for Illustration Friday. The theme was "Surrender". Funny, I just started this blog and I'm surrendering already?
I have appropriated the concept of the infamous James Bond intro with the gun barrel and put my own twist on it. The white flag is the symbol of surrender.
